My name is Nanette Saylor. I am delighted to be the new Boca Raton Chapter Leader of Women's Wellness Society . I was introduced to Women's Wellness Society by Kellie through Women That Win, and I could see that this organization would play an important role in the lives of women in my community, and that I wanted to be a part of that. Too many years have gone by when I struggled through my life challenges alone. My few close childhood friends all lived in varous places around the globe and I never allowed myself to really connect to other women when I relocated to South Florida nearly 25 years ago. The few that I did, also moved away. And I continued to tell myself I didn't need anyone anyway -- I didn't have time for a social life. I had a successful career, and I had my daughter and husband, and that's all I could handle! Sound familiar? Thankfully, I've "come a long way, baby!" Life's twists and turns slowly brought me to this place, where I now know I can't do anything alone. More importantly, I got rid of my fear of letting other women see that I was actually human, and I figured out that all I had to do was ask, and another woman would be willing to help. So, this year I announce to the world my personal mission of wellness-- " to know and be my authentic self " and to take steps everyday to fulfill and honor that mission. I hope that you will join me, whether you are just beginning or continuing your journey of self-discovery, as we honor ourselves and invest in our wellness, building a supportive community in the Women's Wellness Society.
